12wt wool is ideal for cross stitching with a single strand as it adds texture and depth. Lana wool is also lovely for traditional hand embroidery stitches using a single or double strand giving a homespun touch.

Hand Appliqué’
Lovely results for blanket stitched applique’ on wool fabrics, using a single or double strand. It’s perfect for creating a primitive look.

Machine Appliqué’
Wool creates a decorative stitching similar to crazy patchwork. Use 50wt in the bobbin.

Machine Quilting
Suitable for quilting wool fabrics. Use a 90/14 topstitch needle.

Serging
Use in the lower looper.

Longarm Quilting
Suitable for bobbin work. Mark the quilt with water soluble or monofilament invisible thread. Turn the quilt and use Lana in the bobbin for beautiful thread art. Use the largest needle your machine can hold.
